Our videos give educators, librarians, creators, and families a convenient place to explore the world of children’s books. Our videos are created to give users who have print or learning disabilities access to informative content. We’re also proud to introduce our dedicated accessibility project. This project will use our channel to build awareness of the importance of accessible books, and make it easier for Canadians to find accessible books for children.

Here’s what you’ll find on Bibliovideo:

Webinars and live events with Canadian creators,publishers, educators, and librarians.
Storytime videos and readings of quality Canadian children’s books.
Book trailers, author interviews, illustrator demonstrations, book collections, reviews, and more.
French and Indigenous language videos plus a playlist of books in accessible formats.

We’re always looking for Canadian creators to feature.

We’re looking for a wide range of videos in English, French, and Indigenous languages. If you have ready-made videos that relate to Canadian children’s books, you might be the perfect Bibliovideo contributor—whether they’re author interviews, ‘How-To’ art demonstrations, book reviews, or another type of engaging content.

Thank you for considering submitting your videos to Bibliovideo. To be eligible for consideration, all videos must:

Focus on Canadian books for young people–books written or illustrated by a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada.
Conform to YouTube guidelines, including avoidance of content that is misleading, sexual, harmful, dangerous, violent, or graphic in nature, or that promotes hate or bullying. Review the YouTube Community Guidelines.
Be submitted as .MP4 files.
Be free of any third‐party‐owned or copyright‐protected content. Submissions that include reading aloud from a book must be accompanied by written permission from the author, illustrator, publisher or rights holder of the book. See more information on copyright and fair use practices.
Originate with persons who are thirteen (13) years of age or older. Those younger than thirteen must have written permission from a parent or legal guardian to submit a video.

Send an email to Spencer Miller, Channel Assistant, at spencer@bibliovideo.ca with as much of the following information as possible (if you’re unable to provide everything, a simple query is welcome). If your video is selected, we will contact you with uploading instructions and a Bibliovideo Release Form to complete.

Links to other channels or sites where the video appears (Bibliovideo does not require exclusivity.)
